Current Events/Projects

The Brookfield Rotary Club has a number of major events and  projects. One of our ongoing major fundraisers is the Long Drive to the Super Bowl raffle, whose prizes include  tickets, travel and lodging for two to the Super Bowl game, a trip for two to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl game, Green Bay Packer tickets and other prizes. Several dozen other Rotary clubs also participate by selling raffle tickets for this annual event. The money that is raised is distributed throughout the year to a number of charities.

One of the Club’s current projects is Dry Hooch, which has just opened a public coffee shop at 1030 E. Brady St. in Milwaukee, and also provides meeting space for veterans’ support groups and peer-to-peer counseling for veterans of Middle East conflicts as well as previous wars. The Rotary Club is proud to have provided funds for building renovations for the Dry Hooch Project.

The Club also has an annual golf outing, typically in June, which is combined with live and silent auctions to raise money for local charities.

Other charites and projects the Club has supported in fiscal year 2009-2010 are:
